How to Mine in Fur Infection Outbreak

Pickaxe, ore nodes, larger caves, and the helmets that keep moving.

Mining Guide

Mining landed in Fur Infection Outbreak with update v1.51. HopeStar Studio added a pickaxe loop, more cave volume, and helmet armor tucked into abandoned interiors. It is a Furcoins side job on the same 35-player online servers as the rest of the game. You still spawn Human in a Safe Zone, you still right-click melee, and you still die as a Transfur if you walk into spawn. This page is only place 120550559221143.

The video here is Bom Only’s Update v1.51: Mining System recap: mining UI, a larger cave, a helmet pickup, extra shafts, and pickaxe trivia. HopeStar’s own ore tour already sits on the map guide (bronze or copper, gold, diamond). Use both. Do not treat a paused May clip as a GPS after Overhaul. First-round players should finish Getting Started before they camp a node.

What the pickaxe is for

Equip the pickaxe, hit a node on a cave wall or side shaft, and collect the ore. Nodes are not Human-only magic; they are just slow. While you mine you are not swinging a bat. The yellow cooldown bar is for melee, not for the pick. A Transfur who takes your back during a swing animation will grab you the same way they grab anyone else: 2, rear, right-click, drag to latex. Details are on how to infect.

Ore converts into Furcoins or crafting junk depending on the live shop. It is worse than an infection farm and better than standing AFK in spawn. The Furcoins guide is the economy page. There are still no confirmed active promo codes as of September 2026, so a diamond node will not replace a gift string on codes.

Players asked for silver in comments. Treat extra ore types as unconfirmed until patch notes list them. HopeStar’s filmed set is copper/bronze, gold, and diamond.

Cave volume after v1.48 and v1.51

v1.48 restyled the cave. v1.51 made it larger and added mining. Overhaul later retagged the lobby. Walk the live floor. Community comments under the mining recap already said a helmet spawn “got deleted” from the filmed corner. That is normal. Armor locations rotate; ranks live on the armor tier list. If you cannot find a helmet in one minute, leave. A vest plus a bat still wins more rounds than a missing head piece.

One cave tree/room is a leftover from an older Halloween layout. It is a landmark, not a guaranteed crate. Do not sit there because a 2025 clip said so. Teleport points from v1.48 still cut chases if they survived Overhaul. Use them to reset, not to dive the Safe Zone as purple.

Helmets, Light Vest, Heavy Vest

Helmet armor showed up in the v1.51 cave tour. Light Vest and Heavy Vest were already in the v1.48 recap, often in cave buildings. Hazmat / Hazz helmets are a blackout problem, not a mining drop — those rules are on the blackout event page. Do not mix the two helmets. A mining helmet is a Human HP bump. A Hazz helmet during lights-out is how people become a specific Infected style.

If a comment says the helmet is gone, believe the comment until you see the prop. Overhaul plus anti-cheat plus spawn shuffling all move crates. The weapons guide is for blades; this page is for the pickaxe and the cave that holds it.

How to mine without donating a body

  1. Enter the cave with a bat or better. Punch-mining is how you get grabbed on the first node.
  2. Clear the shaft. If a purple name is on the lip, skip the ore.
  3. Hit the node, pocket the ore, re-equip melee. Do not chain three nodes with your back to the mouth.
  4. Pair up if you can. One Human mines, one watches the rear. Peel rules are on how to play as a Human.
  5. If you convert, drop the pickaxe fantasy. You now die in the Safe Zone. Grab, do not dig.

Run is still Ctrl or L3. The pickaxe is not a sprint tool. Binds: controls.

What mining will not give you

It will not give Heavy Sword. Players who get “too heavy” are hitting a staff lock, not a missing ore type. It will not reopen Easter keys. It will not print Corrupted Sword. Those weapons are covered on fishing only so you stop asking the rod and the pickaxe for them. Real obtainable blades are on weapon locations and weapon ranks.

Mining is the quiet cave job. Infection is the loud one. If the title card says Glitch Storm or a desert week, check events before you commit to a node. If the lights flicker, you are not in a mining tutorial anymore. Put the pickaxe away, watch the puddles, and leave the shaft the way you entered: with a swing ready and your back off the wall.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Humans, Transfurs, and anyone hunting Furcoins.

When did mining add to Fur Infection Outbreak?

Community recaps mark it as v1.51, after the v1.48 cave restyle. Walk the live cave; Overhaul may have moved nodes. See patch notes.

Where are the ore nodes?

Cave walls and side shafts. HopeStar filmed copper/bronze, gold, and diamond. Full room context is on the map guide.

Is the cave helmet still there?

Not always. Comments under the v1.51 recap already said a filmed helmet spot vanished. Check armor rankings and do not camp an old corner.

Does mining drop Heavy Sword?

No. Heavy Sword is staff-locked. Mining is ore and Furcoins. Blades are on the weapons guide.

Should Infected mine?

Only if the shaft is empty and you are not near Human spawn. You still die in the Safe Zone. Grabbing pays more; see how to infect.

Is a hazmat helmet a mining drop?

No. Hazz / hazmat helmets belong to blackout. Mining helmets are a separate Human armor piece.
