Weapons Guide

Every Human fight in Fur Infection Outbreak is a melee swing with a yellow cooldown bar. HopeStar Studio’s live 35-player servers do not hand you a loadout at spawn. You punch, you loot a floor weapon, or you buy a shop blade with Robux or Furcoins. Transfurs do not use this list; their tool is Grab on 2. If you converted, close this page and open the infection combo. If you are still blue-named, this is the crate-and-shop map. First-round loot order is in the beginner walkthrough. Rankings that argue S-tier versus bait sit on the weapon rankings. Armor that keeps you alive long enough to swing sits on armor rankings.

Floor loot: punch through hammer

Punch is the default. It exists so you can panic-swing on the way to a crate. It loses to a grab. Do not leave the Safe Zone with it if a bat is on the floor.

Baseball bat is the beginner hallway weapon: short, fast, honest. Cafeteria aisles and cave mouths want this more than a slow hammer. Sword (including linked-sword style floor spawns) adds reach. Axe and frying pan hit harder and recover slower; they punish a missed yellow bar. Hammer / breaching hammer is a commitment swing. Shield is the peel tool — you buy time, you do not farm conversions with it. None of these require Robux. Walk the spawn crates, the cafeteria, and the side rooms on the facility map until you have one in hand, then fight.

Spawn points rotate. A clip from last month is a hint, not a pin. If a crate is empty, take the next room rather than camping a stale location while a Transfur takes your back.

Shop and Robux blades

Crucible is the famous floor-or-shop hybrid: players historically found it past a barrier near the furry-side halls, down a red-puddle corridor behind boxes. It is a Human weapon. Do not walk that hall as a curiosity tour without a pair who can peel.

Energy sword sits in the same “better than a bat, still a cooldown swing” bracket. Heavy hammer is the slow cousin of the floor hammer. OKatana and Crescendo are the v1.48 showpieces. Community damage reports, not official tooltips, put OKatana around 30–33 and Crescendo around 34–36, with Crescendo carrying a red fire cosmetic. Edge Hope (Hope Edge) is the other high-damage named blade players compare to Crescendo. KatanaR and ShieldR are the R-suffix pair; locations were scarce even in creator comments, so treat them as rare shop or event stock rather than a guaranteed cave crate.

Shop blades cost Robux or a pile of Furcoins. There are no confirmed active promo codes as of September 2026, so a redeem box will not drop a katana. Farm coins from kills and infections, or pay. The Furcoins tracker is the currency page; gamepass list covers paid extras that are not melee. A paid sword still waits on the yellow bar. It does not delete Transfur iFrames, and it does not let a Transfur enter the Safe Zone.

Easter carrots

Easter 2026 added three carrot tools with a team split HopeStar stated in comments: Heavy Carrot / Carrot Hammer is Human. Carrot Scythe is Infected. The scythe is the exception to “Transfurs do not hold weapons.” The hammer was the boss-clear reward after the five-key Gate Key trade; that route is the Easter boss fight. The egg shop that sold carrot pieces closed when the event ended. Accounts that unlocked a carrot kept it. Accounts that waited did not. A V2 “epic hammer” gamepass is a different game and a removed pass; do not chase it in this place.

The video on this page is HopeStar’s Easter Part 1 location tour. Use it for crate order during a rerun. Do not assume those crates are live in a random September server.

How to pick a swing

Hallways: bat or pan. Open cafeteria and desert event rooms: sword, OKatana, Crescendo. Peel duty: shield in the off-hand if the server lets you hold it, otherwise a fast bat so you can break a grab before the drag hits latex. Boss arena: the longest damage you already own; do not start a key farm on punch. Infected: ignore this paragraph and press 2.

Right-click to swing. Wait for yellow. Hold Ctrl (L3 on console) between swings so you are not a statue. Those binds are on Human controls. A shop katana with bad binds still loses to a bat that peels on time.

Shop versus floor, in practice

Floor loot wins the first minute. Shop loot wins the twentieth if you are still Human. Spend Furcoins after you can survive an exit, not before. Do not stand in spawn comparing damage numbers while the portal is being farmed. The Human loop on how to play as a Human is loot, exit, peel; this page only names the tools that fill the first step.

A 35-player server has enough crates for the people who move and not enough for the people who wait. Grab a bat, leave under iFrames, and upgrade when a room is actually empty. The best weapon in Fur Infection Outbreak is the one in your hand when a grab starts, not the one in a YouTube thumbnail you have not walked to yet.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Humans, Transfurs, and anyone hunting Furcoins.

What should a new Human pick up first?

A baseball bat from a Safe Zone or cafeteria crate. Punch loses to grabs. Swords and shop blades wait until you can survive an exit.

How much damage do OKatana and Crescendo deal?

Community reports put OKatana around 30–33 and Crescendo around 34–36. Those are player numbers, not an official tooltip. Both still use the yellow cooldown bar.

Is the carrot hammer for Humans or Transfurs?

Carrot Hammer / Heavy Carrot is Human. Carrot Scythe is Infected. HopeStar confirmed the split during Easter 2026.

Do Transfurs use these weapons?

Not the scavenged set. Grab on 2 is the Transfur tool. The carrot scythe is the infected-side event exception. See the infection combo.

Will a promo code give me Crucible or Crescendo?

There are no confirmed active promo codes as of September 2026. Farm Furcoins or buy from the shop. Codes, if they ever drop, will be listed on the promo code list.

Where do I compare weapons against each other?

Use the weapon rankings for S-through-F arguments. This page is spawn habits and shop versus floor, not a full tier table.
