What kill effects actually are
A kill effect is the cosmetic animation that plays when you score the final hit on a Human or Transfur. Pipe, Piano, Midas, and Car are the named effects shown in Bom Only’s Part 2 catalogue. Each has a price in Furcoins — the in-game currency tracked on the Furcoins guide (/codes/furcoins/). They are a status display, not a stat boost. A player who owns Midas does not hit harder; they look different when they finish someone.
Community notes describe the kill effect shop as sitting inside the Infected safe area, not in Human spawn. The video timestamps confirm this placement. If the shop moved after Overhaul, believe the live floor.

How to buy a kill effect
- Earn Furcoins from infection kills, melee finishes, or ore and fishing side loops.
- Find the kill effect shop inside the Infected safe area (purple-side spawn).
- Browse the effect catalogue. Prices are in Furcoins.
- Select the effect you want. It activates on your next final blow.
- Switch back to Human if you bought it while Infected; effects apply to both factions.
The shop is cosmetic only. A purchased effect does not unlock a new animation if you do not already own it. Unlocking Pipe does not give you Midas.
What kill effects are NOT
They do not add damage or swing speed. They do not affect the grab or infection chain. They do not stack across purchases. They do not transfer between accounts. They are not a farm tool. Farming Furcoins for an effect while ignoring the grab loop is a poor trade.
If you are Infected and want to look threatening, learn the grab first. A Midas finish on a victim you dragged to latex is stylish. A Midas finish you earned by ignoring the grab is just a confusing final hit for everyone watching.
Relationship to other systems
Kill effects sit in the same cosmetic category as titles (capped around 5,000 infections per community notes), kill effect drops from the v1.48 shop, and the seasonal morphs from Easter and summer events. They do not replace any of those. A clean infection chain with Pipe active is the same chain as one without it.
